Music travels. Our cultural programming follows it.

Two things are running now. Every first Monday of the month, saxophonist Patience Higgins leads a free community improvisation class — open to anyone, any level, no charge. And in August and September we present Jazz Mini-Week with New York Jazz Workshop, four nights of classes tracing jazz from African rhythm roots through Miles Davis to free improvisation. Proceeds from Jazz Mini-Week fund the free programming.

We want to do more of this — music from more places, taught by the people who carry it. If you would like to help make that happen, or you have a tradition you would like to teach, we would like to hear from you.
